Today was probably my favorite day out of all of them so far!
Yesterday I briefly spoke about a woman who came into the medical clinical who was so depressed and her countenance had literally fallen. She came in in pain and just complaining about everything and we gave her some analgesics, but three of us held hands and prayed for her that God would pour His love in her heart and give her peace and joy. While we were praying, she began crying and said she could feel God’s presence as we prayed so we hugged her and sent her home.
Today she came for the movie night we did at the church for evangelism, and as she walked down the street to the church she looked like a totally different woman! She was smiling from ear to ear, her face was glowing, and she had a bounce in her step. When she saw me she screamed in Spanish and grabbed my hands and hugged me. We called a translator over and she said, “Thank you so much, may God bless you! Since you prayed for me from my head to my toes, my life has never been the same. Thank you for bringing Jesus to my family and my life. He has come into my heart and I am never same. I am a difference person and I know He is in my heart now.” We spoke to her for a long time and she was just so grateful and filled with joy that she now knew Jesus and He had saved her. We took her to the pastor of the church and she was so ecstatic and stated this was now going to be her home church and she is going to bring all her family to hear about Jesus. We prayed with her again and I tell you what, I will never forget this woman. To see God’s transforming hand first hand is just beyond amazing! Her name is Laura Linda, please be praying for her.
We also went door to door evangelizing today and met a group of young men. Whilst I was preaching the gospel, the Holy Spirit was really working on one of their hearts, but when I asked if he wanted to receive Christ, He didn’t say anything because he was with his friends. I told him to come to the movie night we were doing that night, but I’m not sure if he did. I wish I asked for his name, but please pray for him that the work that the Holy Spirit started in His life will be completed!
This week has been truly unbelievable! I’m am so grateful to God for the opportunity to serve His people! And to think I have another 2.5 weeks of this? I’m so excited!
