Hey guys,
I’m assuming that you’ve found this page by watching my video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3S2qbefal_YÂ ), if not, allow me to explain what this is all about:
This summer I have the opportunity to spend 8 days in Costa Rica, and 6 days in America doing some missions work. In Costa Rica I’ll be working in orphanages, churches, and healthcare facilities, and in America, I’ll be a camp counseller at a missions camp with High School kids (aged 13-18) teaching them about identifying God’s call for their life, leading bible studies and whatever else I can get stuck in to serve people.
This has been a long term dream of mine from the age of 11, and the fact that I have the opportunity to do it now is just exciting beyond what words can describe!
My initial plan to raise money was to run a 10km race and ask people to sponsor me £1 per km being £10, but due to health complications, my doctor instructed me not to train for that because the stress of training significantly exacerbated my condition and made my symptoms 10x worse…
Having said that, I still need help in raising £1500 pounds for the trip. I plan to do other things to raise funds such as a possible charity concert in London, I’m already selling stuff on Ebay, and whatever else I can do to raise the remaining money I need as I already have some saved up.
Whatever you can do to help will be MOST appreciated; whether by simply praying for me, donating £1 or £10 or £100, or simply sharing this blog and video…trust me, you are making my dreams come true and helping me fulfil God’s call for my life as this trip is just the first step in a dream of mine of doing missions long term.
